		Reconsidering standard design layouts allows a kitchen to become the central point of family interaction. Designing in a formulatic way is not our objective. A kitchen needn’t always be in a separate room away from the heart of the household activity . As every cook knows there is no such thing as too much counter space, and having an island is an asset when food preparation takes place. A breakfast nook with a built-in banquette doubles as the dining area and a place for family members to prepare, cook, and commune with food as well as each other. We design functionally beautiful spaces by listening to and observing the routines of how your family functions, and establishing a program to drive the design direction towards unique solutions that go beyond the usual results. The breakfast nook allows the children a place to do creative projects or homework while mom and dad prepare the daily meals or join in and help the kids. The kitchen for this family becomes the central point of family interaction.
