Design development is the phase of final refinement and fine-tuning of your home’s new design, ultimately documented by the drawings and purchase specifications required for disseminating design decisions, signed-off by you, to be implemented by the various contractors involved. The depth of the design development required is based on the scope of interior design services required on your project. Suzette Sherman Interior Design provides design develvoplemt drawings of plans, reflected ceiling, elevations, and all appropriate details as need be. These are then turned over to the appropriate contractor or architect, who takes this information and folds it into their drawings forming the final construction set utilized for building. We also generate all necessary purchase orders based on your final furnishing selections. When necessary, drawings and detailing of custom furniture and cabinetry to accompany those purchase orders is performed. Additionally we can provide spreadsheets with specific contractor specification information to help insure the proper placement and installation of particular materials throughout the home.
Once we have disseminated all of the necessary information to all the contractors involved in your home’s redesign the next and final step is implementation into your new home or room within the greater San Francisco area.
