		Many of our clients have a flair for entertaining, and seek a place for memorable dining. This elegant, traditional dining room is designed within a contemporary residential condominium tower. Specialized period details were added, fully integrating traditional furnishings into the building’s envelope, so that the overall atmosphere would feel appropriate and balanced. Softly striped wallpaper and luxuriously full window treatments support the traditional furniture, while intentional omitting the expected ceiling cornice updates the overall look allowing it to fit into the contemporary context of the architecture. A light monochromatic fabric scheme is enhanced by the use of dark furniture woods to create a striking effect. Dressing up a the simple dining table, with the clients budget in mind, a custom-painted tablecloth still calls out the dining table as a special area within the main family space. The antique alabaster pendant crowning the table, combined with the antique gilded mirror gives richness and authenticity to the embellished contemporary space, resulting in memorable evenings with friends.
